Ynanna Rising: 10 Ways to Love Others

I’ve been searching for something like this.

ohapoeticsoul:

Some guidelines for loving:

1. Tell them about their brilliance. They likely can’t see it and they don’t know its immensity, but you can see it, and you can illuminate it for them.

2. Be authentic, and give others the gift of the real you and a real…

Mistaken identity

I am not who you think I am

because there are times

when  I realize I am not

who I thought I was.

Sometimes I want someone to hold my hand.
Right now, I’m holding a machete in one and nothing in the other.

People say that slaves were taken from Africa. This is not true: People were taken from Africa, among them healers and priests, and were made into slaves.

Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin.
“Since her death in 1979, the woman who discovered what the universe is made of has not so much as received a memorial plaque. Her newspaper obituaries do not mention her greatest discovery. […] Every high school student knows that Isaac Newton discovered gravity, that Charles Darwin discovered evolution, and that Albert Einstein discovered the relativity of time. But when it comes to the composition of our universe, the textbooks simply say that the most abundant atom in the universe is hydrogen. And no one ever wonders how we know.”~ Jeremy Knowles

I recently discovered that vimeo is far more superior to youtube in regards to video quality and content.  It also looks to be the site where artists are more inclined to post their own creative workings.  Of course, I am following Rocio Molina and devoting hours of my days to watching her full length performances on vimeo.

I’ve seen a clip of one of her pieces from this show on youtube as part of the London Flamenco festival and it was always one of my favorite clips of hers.  This piece as a whole is largely based on TAKING FLIGHT.  Mimicking birds through flamenco.  There’s a lot of multimedia use and owl video footage.  In a way, Rocio reminds me of an owl with her large eyes and kewpie doll face.  I suppose it is her power animal.  Dynamic show.
